Latest official patch: Version 1.02

Midoriyama's Version 1.02 announcement says that some background-music tracks were changed and fixes an issue that could make the cake tilt in certain sections on Super Easy difficulty.

This is a targeted fix notice. It confirms that the reported tilt issue was addressed; it does not document every difficulty rule, section, or exact in-game menu label. If you are comparing a tip or a recording, note whether it was made before or after Version 1.02.

Version 1.01

The preceding Version 1.01 announcement reports two changes:

  • Fixed an issue that could make the cake shake excessively after a cutscene.
  • Adjusted the difficulty of the conveyor-belt stage.

The developer does not specify a direction or a full mechanical breakdown for the conveyor-belt adjustment in that notice. This wiki therefore does not label the stage easier or harder, or provide version-agnostic instructions from the patch note alone.

How to use a patch note with a guide

Before relying on a route-specific tip, check the Steam app, the displayed game version or update date, the difficulty, and the context of the section. The Version 1.02 Super Easy fix and the Version 1.01 conveyor-belt adjustment mean that a launch-day clip can be useful evidence of an earlier build without being a definitive answer for the current game.

For current store requirements and release status, read Launch status. Difficulty and checkpoints explains the one easiest-setting behaviour documented on the store page without inventing a full difficulty table.
